today was one of the greatest days in my modern life ;)

- forbidden city
- good food
- audi driver
- great wall of china
- fancy fancy mansion/apartment
- fancy fancy restaurant and show
- tianimen square
- great friends!

from june 8th

sonja and i have been trying to figure out this internet thing for awhile. my laptop can't hook up to the internet for some reason, so we are unable to post all of the cool pictures so far.

we just arrived in beijing a couple of hours ago, we had a couple of scares on the flight. the plane was feeling like a very dangerous descent and we had to ascend again and try the landing once more, and the lights would go out, and the stewardess' raised their voices on the flight. i've been on many flights but this one was tough.

we stopped in tokyo, japan which was neat, and we got picked up by a driver that looked like a mobster with a pimped out audi *with tinted windows and nice rims*. he was driving at least 160 with a straight face on a regular road. meanwhile we are being bombarded by taxi drivers, slipping tons of business cards in every available opening. at the current moment we are chilling in the posh-iest place ever, its such a nice place! i would love to post pictures, hopefully we will be able to soon!

california cont.

a great sunny sunday in california
- elijah's church is fantastic, his father is the pastor.
- tons of people at parkway go to BBC!
- i would gain alot of weight if i lived here.
- belly dancer (!)
- my brother sent me an email telling me that my mother insisted that i do not pick up any bad habits like smoking and drinking while i am in China, yeah, he laughed as well.
- lots of sun, hot-tubbing and everything cali.
i would upload pictures, but i can't get access to the internet on my laptop, sorry. we are leaving for China tomorrow, hopefully its not as much of a headache as friday.

june4th - josh is in california

air canada screwed me over again
- flight was delayed in ottawa, so i missed my connecting flight in toronto
- spent 18 hours flying or waiting in the airport
- went to san fran, checked out pier 39 and the real china town
- currently in fairfield, california chilling in mikey's hot tub with jon and elijah
- haven't slept in 29 hours
- but its sweet!
- goodnight

murphy and his laws

- just got informed about some travel problems, and that i might not be able to see gigi :(
- my two shots are scheduled for tomorrow, thank God i was able to book the appointment so fast!
- i now have to also worry about health insurance on top of it all
- i love it when my nieces talk to me and smile ;) connie and bowman are really good to me.
- steve and noreen too.
- when chung, roger and i went to ivan's house last night, i felt like i was on MTV cribs, complete with waterfalls and sixty inch wall televisions.
- little d is so caring.
- i got alot of encouraging emails from friends at school, so that rocks, sorry for taking so long to reply to them, its kinda hectic right now.

i should be sleeping

i woke up at 5:30am to make sure my grandma was awake and that she remembered she was going to vancouver today, but now she is back home because she forgot her passport or any means of photo identification. so re-scheduling of her flight, arranging for her rides, contacting the relatives in vancouver, finding her passport and everything, sometimes not being able to understand her when she gets angry are all in order. noreen isn't able to prescribe anything to a family member, it was a long shot to begin with, and the line to my doctor has been busy for awhile now. so i guess i have to cancel most of my plans today. thank God for connie's help, even while she has to look out for penny and grace (twins are more than double the work of one baby), she still looks after her other baby... brother me :)
